Why we love it: Finding a maxi dress is one thing, but one wearable for both smart and casual events? Impossible! Well, we think this one's a lovely choice.
It's very flowy (ideal for a growing bump), some stretchy material at the back (see above) and the plunging neckline gives a bit of room to breathe.
Pricey, but we know that ASOS has a pretty simple returns policy, should yours not fit right. Also, we know our MadeForMums Awards testers hold the ASOS Maternity range in high regard.

2. Envie De Fraise ASSIA Tank Maternity Maxi Dress, £31.19
Sizes: UK 6 - 8, 8 - 10 - 10 - 12, 12 - 14, 14 - 16 and 16 - 18.
It's hard to say exactly how it's sized, but if you're a 10, we'd suggest trying the 10 - 12. If you're a 16, try the 16 - 18.
Why we love it: It's casual and comfy, with a little split up the side. Works well with flats, trainers - whatever shoes you're finding most comfy.
Available in 5 different colours: black, red, grey, black and white stripes and black with a subtle floral pattern.
We'd say it's not too pricey, and if it doesn't fit right, you can get free returns using the carrier DHL.

3. Tiffany Rose Lexi Maternity Gown in Spice Rose, £79
Sizes: UK 6 - 8, 10 - 12, 12 - 14, 14 - 16 and 18 - 20.
Why we love it: Hallelujah - a long sleeved maxi dress! If you're self-conscious of your arms, or you're off to a do where it might get a bit chilly, this one's a keeper.
We struggled to find a decent long-sleeved dress in a jersey fabric that also had just enough stretch to drape over a growing tum, so though this one's pricey, it might just be worth it, especially if you've got a busy social calendar.
For £119, you can get a similarly-styled ivory version of the gown. Best suited for a wedding or special occasion!

4. Bae The Label Stripe Maternity Dress, $79 (approx £61)
Sizes: XS, S, M and L.
Why we love it: Not technically a maxi, more of a long midi dress, but we couldn't resist including it. It's roomy, comfy fabric, as well as stylish and looks just like a regular dress you'd find on the high street.
Also, Bae The Label took home our 2018 MadeForMums Awards for Best Maternity Range, so we know its a label our mum testers trust.
Only downside? It is a bit pricey for a simple, casual dress, and it is being shipped from the US.

5. Topshop Maternity Spot Shirred Maxi Dress, £32
Sizes: UK 8, 10 and 12
Why we love it: Topshop's range is always a winner, and we like this one. It's floral but not too floral, has nice big puffy sleeves, and is ruched around the bust (great news if your boobs are getting bigger, or tend to feel swollen).

6. New Look Curves White Stripe Maxi Dress, £17.99
Sizes: UK 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28.
Why we love it: Comfy, cosy, sleeveless and a casual fit, made of soft jersey fabric. Ideal for keeping yourself and your bump cool in the heat - it's the kind of dress you can just throw on when it's warm outside.
Just a note: if you're quite petite in height, this dress might run a little long. The model here is 5'9" - but it's so cheap, and it'll only be a few quid to get it taken up a tad.
And if you like the frayed look, you can probably even give it a go yourself ?

7. ASOS Design Maternity Bandeau Maxi Dress In Stripe, £32
Sizes: UK 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20
Why we love it: We love the neckline and the relaxed fit, but we especially taken by the unusual colour and how stylish it is. The last thing you want buying maternity clothes is to feel like a frump, right?
Not fitting your pregnancy figure right? ASOS does free returns, so you know: nothing ventured, nothing gained.

8. Gap Maternity Smocked Off-The-Shoulder Maxi Dress, £49.95
Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL.
Gap says you should choose your size based on your pre-pregnancy size.
Why we love it: It's made from a lovely jersey knit, and can be worn both on and off the shoulder. It's also available in 3 colours: true black, rose blush and grey print. Perfect for summer, as it really is a proper, flowy smock. No annoying, tight underlays here - and plenty of room for a big bump.
The bodice is made from stretchy, ruched fabric. One reviewer even says it works brilliantly in the first few weeks and months of motherhood, too. It accommodates your tum, and makes it easy to breastfeed.

9. Next Navy Maternity Jersey Maxi Dress, £32
Sizes: 8, 10, 12 and 16.
Why we love it: A classic silhouette for a maternity dress, with a big, stretchy elastic waistband.
It's certainly not frumpy, though. The navy is also classic look, an easy colour for many to wear, and you can dress this one up or down.

10. ASOS Design Maternity City Maxi Tea Dress, £32
Sizes: UK 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. ASOS says its true to size.
Why we love it: A very fashionable dress, perfect if you don't want to sacrifice your sharp sense of style during your pregnancy.
There's a bow detailing on the arms, plus a side split - and we think the high neck is fab if you'd prefer not to highlight your boobs.
Finally, we're pretty impressed with the broad range of sizes for this particular dress. Woo!
