10 of the best stylish and supportive swimsuits for new mums
We choose the best swimsuits to make the most of your new body shape, in lots of colours and sizes
Finding the right outfits post-baby is all about using clothes as an opportunity to boost your confidence, but you may also find that you want something that provides a little more support, as it can take months for your body to adjust after giving birth. Tummy control swimsuits use ruching, special fabrics and built-in panels to smooth the stomach area. This not only makes things feel secure, it can also help to create an even silhouette.
If you're not ready to reach for a bikini just yet, they offer a more modest alternative, but tummy control swimsuits have practical benefits after birth too. The supportive fabric can provide gentle support to the core area which is great for those who feel a little weak in that area post-birth, and the extra coverage will also keep a c-section scar covered and protected. Our list below has lots of swimwear choices in various colours, patterns, styles and sizes all to suit your post-baby body requirements.

What to consider when buying tummy control swimsuits:
Size – We have a range of sizes in the swimsuit choices below ranging from 6-32. Most swimsuits are designed with a reasonable amount of stretch but do bear in mind that the tummy control panels tend to be a more solid fabric so do resist the urge to size down as you may find it very restrictive unless you're opting for a style specifically designed to adapt to a changing body.
Support – In addition to tummy control, you may want some support in other areas, so look out for features like built-in cups or underwire. Also, some of the options on our list have adjustable straps too, this is great if your swimsuit just needs a little bit more adjusting to make it perfect for your body.
Style and design – All of the styles here are swimsuits but they vary in colour, cut, patterns and extra detail. Some have ruching and bow ties, others have plunge necklines and wide straps for comfort.

Coverage – If you desire more coverage on your lower half area we have included a legsuit, which basically has shorts as opposed to a brief-style cut. If you don't want your swimsuit riding up as you play with the kids then the legsuit or a swimsuit with full coverage is a good choice.
Longevity and versatility – Some of our luxury options can offer you more wear out of your swimsuit. Some are made with quality figure-moulding fabric that stretches to fit no matter how your body changes. We also have a swimsuit that can be customised and worn in various styles by wrapping the straps in different ways.
Care – Most of the swimsuits in our list are machine washable but some do need to be hand washed, and most will need to be rinsed straight after use to keep them looking their best. lways have a look at the care label of the swimsuit you have to make sure you're providing the proper care it requires. Fabric softeners can also damage the fibres.

How we chose these products
When testing tummy control swimsuits we considered size, support, style and design, coverage, longevity and versatility, and care.
