Pros

  • Good value, range of colours

Cons

  • Elastic around legs not strong enough to contain a poo

Bambino Mio training pants feel very much like ordinary pants as they are not too heavily padded. However, this does mean that you lose out on some of the absorbency.

These training pants from Bambino Mio are made from two layers of a cotton blend, with an absorbent pad between and a waterproof layer to protect clothes. They come in red, blue, pink and white, and three sizes: small; medium; and large.

What we love

These pants feel a lot like real pants as they’re not too heavily padded. They are absorbent enough to catch an accident but allow your child to feel the wetness so that he knows he’s wet himself. They’re excellent value and come in a really nice selection of colours and a good range of sizes: the large ones are big enough for children over 4 or 5.

What to watch out for

These are only absorbent enough to catch one small accident and aren’t really designed to catch poos. You have to change them quickly after an accident as the moisture won’t be drawn away from your child’s skin.

Who are Bambino Mio training pants best for?

Older tots who can control their poos but still need some absorbency for wees.

MadeForMums verdict

Mums need to be quick to change these training pants but they are good value and can help with your toddler’s toilet training.
