The best baby swings
Baby swings can be a baby must-have, especially in the first few months, and can help soothe and relax your little one. We highlight the best baby swings as tested by real mums
1. Graco Sweetpeace, £179.99
Age suitable for: Birth - 9 months
The hi-tech Sweetpeace from Graco aims to mimic the way a baby is held by its mum, and can be used from newborn to 9kg.
It’s got three recline positions, a 5-point harness, six swing speeds and two vibration speeds, so your little one will find the right soothing combination for them!
With its removable canopy, machine washable comfort liner and seatpad, and the option to turn the swing into a regular rocker, this swing and rocker combo might be pricey, but it’s packed with features.
Probably why our mum reviewer Julie called it ‘just marvellous’!

2. 4Moms Mamaroo, £269.99
Age suitable for: Birth – 9 months
Another space-age looking swing, the 4Moms Mamaroo has been designed to move in the same way that parents do when comforting their baby.
The five motions include: car ride (for those who’ve spent many a waking hour driving around in the hope of soothing their little one!); kangaroo; tree swing; rock-a-bye; and wave.
Plus it’s got a reclinable seat for up to 11.3kg, four built-in sounds or the option to plug in an MP3, and reversible toy balls, in monochrome and colour to fascinate little eyes.
And the Mamaroo’s latest feature is the ability to control motion and sound using your smartphone or tablet – pretty swish.
