Book your tickets in advance

Family at Drayton Manor

It may sound simple, but you can save quite a lot of money by making sure that you book your tickets in advance, rather than buying them at the gate on the day.

Buying a ticket on the day will cost you £45 per person (for ages 4+) whereas advance tickets start at £29.50 per person, so you can save up to £15.50 just by pre-booking your ticket. Do however keep in mind that prices can fluctuate depending on when you book and what date you book for, with school holidays and some weekends providing most of the pricier dates.

If you're concerned about booking in advance in case of bad weather (a very reasonable concern when it comes to British weather), you can add a Rainy Day Guarantee to your ticket. It costs £2 per person and if, on the day you visit, there is more than 4mm of rainfall during park opening hours, you get a return visit for free. Find out more on the Drayton Manor website.

Cheaper tickets for toddlers

Thomas Land at Drayton Manor

While there is no Drayton Manor family ticket (for 2 adults and 2 children for example), there are offers and discounts available for toddlers and preschoolers: tickets for toddlers aged 2-3 are £15 and babies aged 0-23 months enter for free.

You can also take advantage of the Adult & Toddler Ticket offer. If you visit on a weekday during the off-peak period, a ticket for an adult visiting with a toddler aged 4 and under will be just £29.50 — the same price as an advanced standard adult ticket.

There is plenty for toddlers to enjoy at Drayton Manor too — Thomas Land in particular is extremely toddler friendly, with plenty of age-appropriate rides for young children to enjoy.

Not only is the Adult & Toddler deal a great offer, it also means that you can take advantage of shorter queue lines and a quieter resort, compared to dealing with the hustle and bustle of the school holidays or the peak season.

You can book your Stay&Play package at Drayton Manor.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers

Mascot and children at Drayton Manor

If you have and use a Tesco Clubcard, you can convert your Clubcard points into Reward Partner vouchers for Drayton Manor and save money on your entry tickets. You can exchange a Clubcard voucher for 2x its value with Tesco's Reward partners, meaning that if you have £10 worth of Clubcard points, you can exchange this for £20 towards the ticket cost at Drayton Manor.

However, you can't prebook your ticket online and therefore can't take advantage of the reduced pre-booking price we mentioned earlier in this article — you will have to pay the on the day, gate ticket price (currently £45 for ages 4+).

To receive your vouchers, all you need to do is go to the Tesco Clubcard website and select the amount of Clubcard vouchers you would like to exchange (it doesn't have to cover the full ticket cost, you can top-up the price difference with another payment method). You will then receive a confirmation email and another email containing the code you'll need. Then, once you arrive at Drayton Manor, show the code at the ticket desk.

Do be aware however that there are exclusions to the Clubcard offer. Reward Partner codes can only be used against standard tickets (for ages 4+) and not for toddler tickets or Adult & Toddler tickets. You also can't use the vouchers towards some experiences (such as the Grotto Experience at Christmas), special events, promotional offers such as the Drayton Manor and West Midlands Safari Park Combi ticket, reduced price tickets, car parking, or items purchased within the resort.

Buy a Drayton Manor annual pass

Rollercoaster at Drayton Manor

If you're planning on making multiple visits to Drayton Manor within 12 months, then an annual pass could be a really great way of saving money. There are multiple passes available, at varying price points.

All of the passes grant you 20% off Animal Experiences, 10% off stays in the Drayton Manor Hotel, exclusive offers on hotel events and exclusive Drayton Manor Resort offers throughout the year.

The Silver Pass, which costs £99 for ages 4+ and £65 for ages 2-3 also grants you:

The Gold Pass, which costs £115 for ages 4+ and £85 for ages 2-3 includes:

  • Unrestricted entry to Drayton Manor Resort
  • Free car parking at Drayton Manor Resort
  • 20% off food, drinks and retail
  • Entry to park daytime events

The Platinum Pass, which costs £175 for ages 3+ includes extra benefits not only at Drayton Manor, but also at West Midlands Safari Park. It grants you:

  • Unrestricted entry to Drayton Manor Resort and West Midland Safari Park
  • Free car parking at Drayton Manor Resort and West Midland Safari Park
  • Theme Park Wristband at West Midland Safari Park
  • 20% off food, drinks and retail
  • 20% off animal experiences at West Midland Safari Park
  • 10% off stays in Safari Lodges
  • Entry to park daytime events at Drayton Manor Resort and West Midland Safari Park
  • 20% off West Midlands Safari Park public events in Treetops Pavillion.

So there's quite a lot to consider if you're trying to decide whether an annual pass would be worth it, and which one to choose.

The Silver Pass only grants park entry on 122 days out the year in 2024, with all of August and some school holiday dates excluded. For adults and kids aged 4+, you would need to visit the park at least 4 times across the year to make the Pass worth the money (based on pre-booking your ticket at £29.50). For the Gold Pass, you would also need to visit 4 times to see a saving on the price, but this is a lot easier due to the increased number of available days that you can use the pass.

There is also all of the other benefits to consider with each pass, such as the food discounts and exclusive offers, and you should evaluate whether you would find these a useful way to save money. We would say that if you are looking to save money on Drayton Manor tickets and are planning multiple visits, an annual pass will probably be a worthwhile investment.
