The Cosatto Yo! is lightweight, weatherproof and good looking. And unlike many lightweights, this one’s suitable from birth.
The Cosatto brand is a popular one with buggies of all variety, car seats, nursery furniture and highchairs. One of my favourite features of many of the Cosatto buggies is the unique, slogan cosytoes, which allow for a bit of flair on your pushchair! The Cosatto Yo! is certainly more trendy than some of the other lightweight Cosatto models and doesn’t come with the phrases on the cosy toes but you will still be transporting your child in style.
While there’s a plethora of lightweight buggies to choose from these days, the Cosatto Yo! is stylish and weatherproof. Your child will be protected and warm while you stroll the high street and the fact that you could use the Cosatto Yo! from birth and that it comes with excellent accessories makes it a sound investment for families.
What we love
I instantly was drawn to the Cosatto Yo! cosytoes. It is an included accessory and has a lovely fleece liner with a turn down edge that has a pocket where your child can place their hands.
The harness system is well padded and secure and keeps your child sitting properly in the seat.
I found the canopy to be one of the better canopies compared to other lightweight buggies because it comes down a bit further. The rain cover comes in a carry bag and has its own clip on the chassis so it doesn’t get lost nor will it have to take up valuable space in the shopping basket. The rain cover was easy to attach and fit the chassis pretty well.
The handles on the Cosatto Yo! are well padded and allow you to push the buggy easily. It’s possible to steer one handed as well. My daughter Ella was comfortable and sat up well in the Cosatto Yo!, which is one of the most important factors for me.
What to watch out for
The front wheels of the Cosatto Yo! are what really let this buggy down for me. They’re a lockable swivel wheel but on a variety of walks, there was a distinct wobble of the front wheels, which really began to grate on me after a while. The wobble was strong enough to require a firm hand on the handles to keep the buggy steady. You can lock the swivel wheels but I find that a swivel wheel is much more functional than a locked wheel.
As with many umbrella-fold, lightweight buggies, the Cosatto Yo!’s chassis is upright and caused me to repeatedly kick the wheels while I was walking. It wasn’t every step but every few steps my feet caught the wheels. A man with a longer stride could kick the wheels a lot more often.
The Cosatto Yo! does fold up quite compactly but it’s still quite long. It took a bit of manoeuvring to get it in the car boot due to the length of when folded.
The Cosatto Yo! is best used on urban terrain and not rural or off-road tracks.
Who is the Cosatto Yo! best for?
Urban dwellers who use public transportation and are seeking a lightweight, stylish, easily foldable option.
The Cosatto Yo! is a sound lightweight buggy that comes with excellent accessories and would be a good purchase for an urban family. The wobbly ride thanks to the swivel wheels lets the Cosatto Yo! down and you might find it a bit long for the average car boot but you can’t fault its lightweight status and stylish looks.
