Bright and funky looking, the Lindam 3 in 1 highchair isn't just for a baby, as it can convert into a junior chair for older children to sit in, too.
Lindam is a trusted brand, with 20 years experience of making baby products so they know their market. The Lindam 3 in 1 highchair, as the name says, can be used in three modes: highchair, infant chair, and junior chair.
The Lindam 3 in 1 highchair has a plastic frame and seat, with a 5-point safety harness. There’s a removable 2-position tray, which makes cleaning a doddle.
What we loved
The bright and modern design is eye-catching and it comes in a choice of three bold shades. Unlike many highchairs, the Lindam 3 in 1 highchair potentially has a long shelf life as it can be used until age 3 as a highchair, and once converted to a junior chair it can be used up to age 10. The chair is made of lightweight plastic, so it’s not too backbreaking to move around, yet it still felt very stable and durable.
Made of wipeable plastic, the Lindam 3 in 1 highchair is easy to clean. I particularly liked the way the tray slid off thanks to two easy-to-use clips, so I could quickly give it a scrub or pop it in the dishwasher.
The Lindam 3 in 1 highchair comes flat-packed with quite a few parts, but I found it reasonably idiot-proof to put together, thanks to very clear instructions and diagrams.
What to watch out for
The Lindam 3 in 1 highchair has quite a large footprint – I found it took up quite a lot of my space in my small dining room.
While my average-sized 1-year-old son looked secure, thanks to the 5-point harness, the seat was a little on the large side for him. This meant, if so inclined, he could pull his feet out from one side of the plastic crotch to the other, which he did on a couple of occasions. The large, deep seat also meant it was difficult for him to sit right back, so he occasionally slipped down, which made him cry!
The chair is foldable, which is great in theory if you do need to stash it out of the way. However, while the instructions included were faultless for assembly, they didn't explain how to fold it, which led to a certain amount of head scratching on my part. I could only figure out how to do this when the chair was assembled as a junior chair: you unfasten clips under the seat and on the base and away you go. It doesn't fold completely flat so you'll still need a fair amount of space to store it.
Who is the Lindam 3 in 1 highchair best for?
Mums after a bright budget option with a washable tray that can be used long after the need for a highchair has gone.
MadeForMums verdict
For the money, the Lindam 3 in 1 highchair is good value, and its removable tray means it's easy to keep clean. It may not be luxurious, but it's lightweight and modern and can also be used as an armless junior chair for your little one to grow into. However, it's on the large side and you might find it fiddly to fold.
