Pros

  • Collapsible design, travel friendly, lightweight, wipe clean

Cons

  • Only one height position, some may find the design garish

The Little Helper Zooper is an innovative new highchair that can be fully folded down in to a compact O-shape in just a few steps, making it ideal for smaller kitchens and travel. However, its lack of height adjustability is a shame.

The Little Helper Zooper ticks all the boxes. Its contemporary design, in red check or blue check, is teamed with practical features that include an easy-clean removable tray, wipe-clean seat cushion, 5-point safety harness and adjustable footrest. It’s suitable from 6 months until your baby weighs 50lbs/22kg, or about 4 years.

What we love

The Little Helper Zooper highchair is quick and easy to assemble and the collapsible design is really impressive. It folds down very smoothly and easily at the switch of a button and stands on its side with the footrest as a prop. This means it takes up a limited space, which belies its large frame when in use. It would be a useful choice for taking on holidays or visits to friends and family by car - especially as it’s fairly lightweight and has a carry handle.

I like the O-shaped base of the highchair because it makes it very stable, even when my 21-month-old Joseph is kicking up a fuss about what’s on the menu.

Joseph seems very comfortable in the Zooper because of the padded cushion and a younger baby would be very well supported because of its high-backed design.

The wipe clean tray and seat cushion are a godsend if, like Joseph, your toddler has a tendency to play with his food. The fact that the tray is removable makes it easier to clean.

What to watch out for

Although the footrest is adjustable, the highchair itself only has one height position, which I feel is a bit of a disadvantage, especially when it comes to using it without the tray. I would like to pull the highchair up to the table so Joseph could feel more a part of family meal times but it’s too high for my particular one.

The manufacturer prides itself on the ‘retro’ design but I have to say the rather garish pattern on the seat cushion wasn’t my cup of tea – whether you like it or not will be a matter of personal taste.

Who is the Little Helper Zooper highchair best for?
