When is Black Friday 2020?

  • Black Friday 2020 on Friday 27th November 2020 and, as always, promises a range of exciting deals and discounts for shoppers across the nation.
  • As all non-essential shops will be closed throughout November, all the deals will be online so you can shop anywhere and everywhere with the simple click of a button.
  • Cyber Monday follows Black Friday, and will take place on 30th November this year.
  • Due to the largely digital nature of both events, the final weekend in November looks set to be the centre of a flurry of amazing bargains and cut price offers.

Are the toy deals on Black Friday worth waiting for?

Although not the only time of year brands will reduce the price of items, Black Friday is the biggest sales event of the year and the one which will have the biggest range of discounts at once.

Last year, there were lots of exciting savings to be made on big names products, including everything from cribs to car seat deals:

As retailers prepare for the big weekend, we have seen lots of warm-ups sales and flash bargains on some great toys and other baby and child products.

It’s worth keeping in mind that often during the week or so before Black Friday, some websites may raise the RRP of items so that they can boast a bigger discount during the sales event.

For this reason, we’ve been tracking prices of products in the months and weeks leading up to Black Friday so that we’re only sharing the toy deals we know offer genuine savings.

How to get a good deal on Black Friday

While Black Friday is the ideal time of year to snap up some truly great deals, it can be a chaotic and often pressure-selling environment which can easily get overwhelming.

Below, we’ve put together a few simple tips to help you find the best deal:

  • Have an idea of the RRP before you go in. You should have a rough understanding of how much the item would usually be so you know if this is the best deal or not.
  • Know what you’re looking for. If there is something you really want, search for this first and try to avoid being side-tracked by other offers which could lead to you missing out.
  • Balance quality with savings. A cheap deal doesn’t always mean a good deal. You’re not saving money if you’re never going to use it!
  • Don’t necessarily expect the latest models to be discounted. While this could be the case in some instances, brands often use sales events to clear earlier models and make room for the newest line.
  • Check our list of deals above. We are continuously updating this selection with the best deals we can find and we only list products we recommend.

Should I wait for Cyber Monday?

Due to the events of 2020, the Black Friday sales will be taking place online, whereas in the past Cyber Monday was the designated time to find digital deals.

To get the best of both worlds, it is probably smart to check out the Black Friday sales early while stock is still available on the items you really want and then check out the additional savings available on Cyber Monday. If the product you’re looking for isn’t discounted during Black Friday, definitely wait until after Cyber Monday before paying full price as it may just slip into the next set of sales.
