The Babyzen YOYO+ is a huge hit with parents looking for a lightweight city stroller. It's one of the lightest strollers on the market at 6.2kg and is designed with super compact fold that's made to fit in the overhead compartment of an aeroplane.

Now Babyzen has updated its popular stroller with the release of the YOYO², which promises many of the same handy features with some nifty extras.

What are the best new features of the Babyzen YOYO²?

The original YOYO+ doesn't come with wheel suspension, but one of the main new features on the Babyzen YOYO² is its individual suspension on all 4 wheels. This should make for a smoother and more comfortable ride for your baby, especially when going over bumpy terrain.

The original foam handlebar has also been updated to faux leather and it now comes with a wrist strap you can use while pushing.

It also offers a higher weight limit, meaning you can use it for even longer.

What age is the Babyzen YOYO² suitable for?

The YOYO² will last you longer up to 22kg (approx 4 to 5 years)– compared to the original YOYO+ which only goes up to 18kg (approx 3 years).

Like the YOYO+, the YOYO2 can be used from 6 months with the seat unit, and you can buy the YOYO+ Newborn Pack (£190 on Amazon) to convert the stroller into a parent-facing mode if you'd like to use it from birth.

All the other accessories that fit on the YOYO+, like the raincover (£29.95 on Amazon) or mosquito net, are also compatible with the new YOYO² according to Babyzen.

Will the YOYO² be car-seat compatible?

Like the YOYO+, you can use the YOYO² as a complete travel system from birth by attaching a compatible car seat to the frame with adapters. Compatible car seats include the Maxi-Cosi Pebble and Pebble Plus, Cybex Aton Q and Aton 4 as well as Babyzen's own car seat - the Babyzen BeSafe iZi Go Modular.

How many colours will the YOYO² be available in?

The new stroller is available in 9 different colours including black and grey as well brighter versions in pink and green. You also have the option to choose a black or white frame.

At the moment you can get your hands on the new Babyzen YOYO² from John Lewis for £399, which is slightly more expensive compared to the YOYO+ which starts from £375 RRP.
