How much does Disney Plus cost in the UK?

Disney Plus have introduced a new tiered pricing system to offer a range of subscriptions catering to different needs.

The Standard Disney Plus subscription costs £7.99 per month in the UK, or £79.90 for a full year (giving you 12 months of access for the price of 10 monthly subscription fees).

Then there's a cheaper option - the Standard with Ads plan at £4.99 per month. However, you can now get it for an even lower price, thanks to a limited-time deal offering three months of Disney Plus Standard With Ads at just £1.99 a month.

The Premium plan comes in for a little more at £10.99 per month or £109.90 a year.

There is also the option to purchase a Disney Plus annual subscription as a gift for someone else. Disney Plus does not offer a free trial when signing up.

So what's the difference between the three tiers? Let's start with the Standard With Ads tier, which grants you access to the complete catalogue with adverts that will interrupt your viewing.

In addition, you won't be able to download content and can only stream on two devices at the same time. Video quality is capped at 1080p Full HD and the audio at 5.1.

There's no adverts with the Standard Disney Plus subscription, and you'll be able to download across 10 devices, stream on two devices at once and enjoy video quality of 1080p and audio quality of 5.1.

If you fancy treating yourself to a Premium subscription, then you have plenty of perks to look forward to. This include no adverts, streaming across four devices at once, downloading across 10 devices, video quality of up to 4K UHD and HDR and audio in standards up to Dolby Atmos levels.

Disney Plus offers content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star with over 500 films, 15000 TV episodes and 80 Disney Plus originals to watch. To gain access to all of this content, you need to sign up for a Disney Plus subscription. This works similarly to other streaming platforms – once you are signed up, you do not have to pay for anything else and can watch all the films and shows ad-free.

While the vast majority of content on Disney Plus is included in your subscription cost, the studio does occasionally release so-called Disney Plus Premier Access titles which are available for an additional fee.
