  • How big is your baby?

    Your baby is now 38cm crown to rump, or 50cm from top to toe, and weighs 3.3kg. Your baby is about the size of a pumpkin!

  • How is your baby growing?

    Your baby’s abdominal circumference is bigger than his head. He has 206 bones – which is more than you. Some of these bones will fuse together as he grows after birth. He also has more than 70 different reflexes, such as sucking, which he’ll need to survive outside your comfy womb.

    Your baby’s probably descended quite far down in to your pelvis by now, and because of this and gravity, his head may be getting a little compressed.

    At this stage you might be feeling some end of pregnancy blues but try to think ahead to what it will be like once your baby is here and take advantage of these quiet times to fit in some reading or to escape the house for dinner with your other half. Remember, once there’s a new set of lungs in the house you’ll be longing for a few quiet moments to yourself.
