Having been born into a dynasty of music superstars, it is no surprise that Blue Ivy Carter is proving an influential figure at just nine months old.
Baby Blue, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, recently topped the list of baby names that have seen a surge in popularity after a celebrity has chosen them.
Since her birth in January, Blue Ivy has climbed 33 places on the US Social Security Register, closely followed by Tori Spelling’s daughter’s old-fashioned moniker, Hattie.
US Website Nameberry, who compiled the list also reported a swell in interest for Miranda Kerr’s chosen name, Flynn, Matthew McConaughey’s son Levi and Angelina Jolie’s choice, Vivienne, which climbed 148 places to come in at number ten.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the report didn’t include some of the more unusual celebrity baby names of recent years, so we won’t expect to see lots of little Bronx Mowglis or Buddy Bears running around any time soon.
