Ivanka Trump looks stylish at her baby’s bris
Prince George wasn’t the only celebrating a religious milestone yesterday, American royalty, the Trumps, held Jewish ceremony for their newest addition
Ivanka Trump shared a photo of her newborn baby, Joseph Frederick Kushner, on the day of his bris.
The fashion designer was celebrating at the Jewish ceremony that is performed when a baby is 8 days old.
She captioned the photo: “One week old. Thanks to all your kind words and best wishes.”
Ivanka looks chic in the photo, wearing a black dress and a matching pillbox hat. Baby Joseph is wearing a traditional white robe.
A bris is a ceremony where a baby boy gets circumcised by a mohel – a ritual circumciser trained in both the procedure and Jewish law. During it, babies are welcomed into the religion. It includes the announcement of a child’s Hebrew name and a ritual meal after to conclude the ceremony.
