“Breastfeeding should not be taboo,” says Jaime King in a comment on a Instagram pic of herself nursing her 8-month-old baby son James.
Jaime is the latest celeb to wave the ‘no shame in breastfeeding’ flag, adding her voice to the many who are protesting about the censorship rules on some social-media sites, including Instagram.
The rules forbid the sharing of images that show a woman’s nipples, even in the context of breastfeeding.
“James is now 8 months old!,” read Jaime’s post in full. “These are the moments a mother lives for. Breastfeeding should not be taboo – and bottle-feeding should not be judged. It’s ALL fun for the whole family!”
Jaime’s post follows another pointed celeb-social-media share made by Bruce Willis’s 25-year-old wife Emma Heming-Willis. The first-time mother posted a picture of herself breastfeeding daughter Evelyn together with the caption, “Breakfast of champions.”
Evelyn’s big step-sister Scout, the 22-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is behind the #FreeTheNipple campaign, which is putting pressure on all social media site for censorship rules to be relaxed.
