Katie Holmes has revealed her excitement about the next chapter in her life – experiencing new cultures around the world with 5-year-old Suri, her daughter with husband Tom Cruise.

“I’m excited to begin a new phase, roles I might have been afraid to play before and places I want to travel to with my daughter. I’d like to build the design business. But not too fast,” Katie said, according to Showbiz Spy.

The actress is also keen to throw away her mobile phone and live life in a more old-fashioned way – although we wonder how Suri might feel without her mini-manicures and incredible wardrobe selection!

“I’m thinking of getting rid of my cell phone. Wouldn’t it be great to have an old-fashioned phone sheet? Go to your office, make your calls, and then continue with your day,” said Katie.

The 32-year-old mum admitted, too, that she finds balancing motherhood with her career difficult.

“As an actress who is also a mum, you don’t have the luxury of drama. Being in this business, my daughter is exposed to people with incredible talent, people who are the best at what they do. People I only dreamed of getting to work with as a little girl,” Katie explained.

Meanwhile, the Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie’s 3-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, have joined their siblings at school for the first time.

“Angie wants the twins to have a very normal upbringing. The twins are really excited that they’re finally in preschool. They have long seen the other kids pack up and head off to school and yearned to be a part of it all. Now they can finally join them!” a friend revealed, according to Life and Style magazine.

The Jolie-Pitt clan are said to be attending the French Immersion School in Budapest, where dad Brad is filming the movie World War Z.

Suri was also snapped starting school a few weeks ago over in California. We wonder if Katie is planning on home schooling her while they travel?
