Lasagna

Ingredients

500g lean, good quality mince meat

2 tins chopped tomatoes

Dried mixed herbs

1 diced red onion

3-4 dried pasta sheets

1 packet cheese sauce

Low-fat grated cheese for top

  1. Turn oven onto 180°C.
  2. Put mince, chopped onions and tinned tomatos in a pan.
  3. Cook until mince is fully cooked, keep emptying any water out of the pan as it boils.
  4. When mince is fully cooked, add dried herbs to taste (salt and pepper can be used but not suitable for young children).
  5. Heat the cheese sauce in a pan.
  6. Have a medium sized oven proof dish to hand and put half of the cooked mince in the bottom, spreading out equally.
  7. Cover with 1-2 sheet of dry pasta -pour over half of cheese sauce.
  8. Repeat above 3 steps.
  9. Top with grated cheese.
  10. Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the pasta sheets have cooked soft (check with skewer).
  11. Serve with Salad for a lovely summer family meal.
