Here are the symptoms to expect in your 7th week of pregnancy

    Your digestive system is likely to be a little upset by everything that’s going on inside. You may also find that your tastes are altered and it’s very common to go completely off coffee and alcohol, which is rather fortunate.

    Headaches, too, can be common at this stage. These are often the result of hormonal changes but can also be caused by tiredness, worry, low blood sugar or being dehydrated. So make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and if you are concerned talk to your midwife or GP.

    To combat the tiredness, make sure you get plenty of rest and look after yourself, roping the rest of your family in to help with chores. It may sound too easy, but a little gentle exercise and fresh air really will help give you lift.

    You may also feel the need to go to the loo a lot as your uterus will be pushing down on your bladder, making you want to go to the toilet, even if your bladder’s not full.
