  • How big is your baby?

    Your baby’s now around 9cm long and the size of a small lemon. He’s going through a growth phase and his body is now growing faster than his head, which means he’s starting to look more in proportion.

    Incredibly, he now has fingernails and toenails plus his hair is starting to grow. While his genes will determine his hair colour and style, you won’t be able to tell from any scans just what to expect in the hair department until he makes his appearance in several months time!

  • What’s happening to your body?

    Many mums find that their morning sickness and queasiness starts to subside around this time. However, if you’re still feeling very sick, talk to your midwife or GP for advice. But guess what – all those pregnancy hormones swirling around in your body can affect your skin and may even give you pimples! On the plus side, your skin may also glow, giving you that much-talked-about (but often not felt) ‘blooming’ pregnancy look.
