Our young testers got stuck in with all kinds of crafting fun, while parents shared their insights on which kits were quick to set up, encouraged independent play and didn’t cause too much chaos to tidy up afterwards. See all our award winners below:

Look mummy, there is a smiley face in the clay! They're all different! I love this, the app shows me what to do to make Bluey and her friends and I can do it myself. Do you like my Coco mummy? Can we get the other ones too, please mummy?!'

Aj absolutely loved this big box of activities. It was much more than just boxes with games in — it opened up a world of play to him that he thoroughly enjoyed, taught him new skills and expanded on ones he already had. I could tell he enjoyed these as he smiled, clapped and talked throughout.

I give it 10 out of 10. I really liked playing with this and I loved the surprise stickers. It’s so fun and all the stickers are so cute. I like the bag and decorating it with my favourite stickers and I can’t wait to make more jewellery.

Bronze: Craft Buddy Crystal Art Junior Kit

My son was quite keen to open this craft kit and wanted to start adding the gems straight away. He spent about 30-40 minutes completing 2 sections entirely. As a parent I really liked the fact that it was practicing his fine motor skills and it's a bit different to other crafts we've done before.

My child quite enjoys playing with this toy. He has learned new drawing and fine motor skills from using this which is good. He has a good imagination so he liked to think of images he wanted us to draw for him. He was instantly interested in it and continues to use it daily for short periods of time. I like the fact that it has removable legs so it can be taken in the car as a travel toy.

Arya absolutely loved the Message Pen Creator Studio! She was thrilled to spell her name and messages with the beads and loved choosing colours for her pens. This set scores top marks for creativity and engagement. It combines arts and crafts with a bit of STEM-style design, encouraging imagination and fine motor skills.

My daughter loves crafts and this has to be her favourite set that she's ever had. The originality and beauty of the icing style felt very grown up but it was also very easy for her to use so she was able to do it independently. Tess absolutely loved the different accessories and beads and spent hours decorating them, full marks from us!

Wow, this is so cool! The box is SO big. It comes with lots of stuff. This is very nice, especially the colouring and whiteboard game because we can take it into the car and do games on long journeys. My favourite ones are the aqua beads and microscope. Actually, I do like everything!

My daughter found this toy exciting, fun and it gave her a sense of achievement on completing her pin badge. She thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from seeing the packaging, to opening it, completing it and wearing it. She was especially excited to find out which character she had received, so the surprise element of the toy is fantastic.

I really loved creating my craft buddy! I loved the bright and colourful design of the parrot and that it comes with a stand so I can display it in my room. I would definitely like to get some more from the collection.
