Chicken casserole

Hearty traditional dish with chicken, potatoes, onion and carrot, suitable for babies from 6 months

  • 1 whole onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp olive or vegetable oil
  • 400g chicken breast, diced
  • 300g carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 300g new potatoes, chopped
  • 1 whole Heinz Cook at Home chicken stock cube, dissolved in 500ml boiling water


  • Step 1

    Fry the onion in the oil until soft, then add the chicken and brown.

  • Step 2

    Transfer to a casserole dish and pour over the stock, adding the carrots and new potatoes.

  • Step 3

    Cook in the oven at 180C/350F/Gas mark 4 for an hour, or until the chicken is cooked through.

  • Step 4

    Purée all ingredients together.
