Does Thorpe Park have kids' rides? Full list of rollercoasters for younger children
Wondering if Thorpe Park is the right fit for your little ones? Here's what you need to know.

Thorpe Park is known for having some of the most adrenaline-fuelled and extreme rides in the UK.
Just last year they opened Hyperia, their tallest rollercoaster yet, adding to a collection that already included Stealth (the country's fastest launch coaster) and Colossus (the world's first ride to have 10 consecutive loops).
So with all that in mind, you'd be forgiven for thinking it isn't the most child-friendly destination – but is that right?
In reality, Thorpe Park is also home to a ton of rides and events for younger visitors, from huge water playgrounds for kids of all ages, to gentle rollercoasters like Flying Fish and Rumba Rapids.
Below, we've listed out all the age-appropriate rides for little children, plus taken a look at whether it's actually a worthwhile day out for your young family.

Does Thorpe Park have rides for kids?
Yes. Thorpe Park has rides for a range of ages, including very little kids. Their height restrictions start at 90cm – typically the height of children aged 2-3 – for gentle rides like Flying Fish, High Striker and Mr Monkey's Banana Ride.
The next step up is rides for children between 110 and 130cm – typically for kids aged 5-10 – which are a little bit faster but tend to have smaller drops and swings than the big rollercoasters. Some of these are: Rumba Rapids, Storm Surge, Quantum and Depth Charge, plus there are classic fairground rides like the teacups and bumper cars.
Does Thorpe Park have rides for toddlers?
Yes. As we've said the theme park's height restrictions start at 90cm, so your toddler would probably be comfortable on rides like Flying Fish and Mr Monkey's Banana Ride.
Plus, the park has three areas with no age restriction at all: The Amity Beach water park, The Playground and Sunset Cinema – although this has lots of lighting, loud noise and effects so might not be suitable for all toddlers.
