Britain’s oldest leap year baby is celebrating two birthdays today, turning 100 and 25 at the same time.
Margaret Ware, who was born on the 29th February 1912, has only seen 25 official birthdays due to her leap year birth. But, with a letter from the Queen to prove it, she’s actually 100 years old.
With three children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren it would have been quite a feat for 25 years of age. But this groovy granny seems to have a spring in her step, posing for pics in the Daily Mail surrounded by 25 embossed birthday decorations.
As if turning 100 – and 25 (boy, isn’t this getting confusing!) wasn’t enough of a reason to celebrate, with four years to wait for her next official birthday, let’s hope Margaret has a right good knees up!
