Britney: "It's hard to play a sexy mom"
Britney Spears censored her new music video for the sake of her two sons
Britney Spears said she had to censor the video for 'Work B*tch' because she was concerned her two sons would see it.
Britney, 31, is mum to Jayden, 7 and Sean, 8. She spoke to an American radio station about her new video.
“Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video then what is actually there," Britney said. "Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it's just hard to play sexy mom while you're being a pop star as well.
"I just have to be true to myself and you know, feel it out when I do stuff. And just let them know, you know?"
The DJ then asked her: “Are they pushing you further than you wanna go? And then you sit in the editing room and say, ‘No, that has to go’?”

She responded: “Yes... A lot of sex goes into what I do. But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was like one outfit through the whole video, and you’re dancing the whole video, and there's like not that much sex stuff.
“It's about the dance. It's old school. It's, like, keeping it real and just making it about the dance. I'd love to do a video like that."
Later, her father Jamie Spears – who is Britney’s conservator, meaning he makes her decisions for her – and her manager Larry Rudolph released a statement about her comments: “Britney is never pressured into anything. She reviews all creative and for her ‘Work B*tch’ video, she discussed toning down some parts in finding a balance of sexy and being a mom.”
Britney currently has a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, she will do 50 shows there over two years. She said: “I’m such a cosy person, I love being in my house, but I feel like I’m going to go a little crazy if I stay in my house too much, if I just hang out and do nothing. I kinda like to perform – well not kinda – I really like to perform and I like to do shows. It’s exciting and it’s great to express yourself so I think it’s fun.”
