Britney met backing dancer Kevin Federline in 2004 and the couple quickly became engaged. They filmed the progression of their relationship in a reality television show, Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

The couple married in September 2004. Straight after she wed, Brit said, "I want to be a young mum. Next year, at 23, I'm so there."

In 2005, it was revealed that Britney was expecting her 1st baby, Kevin's 3rd. The pregnancy announcement was made on Britney's official website.

Shortly after the baby news was made public, Britney was rushed to a hospital in Florida where she spent two days under doctor's observation. "There was just a little bit of bleeding, but we went there and everything was fine," Britney later revealed.

During Britney's pregnancy, it was rumoured that she was experiencing a weird pregnancy craving - soil!

Before Britney gave birth she admitted she had an idea that she'd have a caesarean. Despite Britney being really eager to have a baby, she didn't think she could cope with labour pains. "I have a feeling I'm going to have an operation. I don't know why. But I hope so, as I don't want to go through the pain," said Brit.

On 14 September 2005, Britney gave birth to her 1st baby with Kevin, a boy named Sean Preston Federline. Sean was delivered by scheduled caesarean at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California, and weighed 6lb 11oz.

When Sean was months old, Britney was spotted driving with him on her lap. The lack of a baby car seat drew heavy criticism. Britney hit out and said, "I can't go anywhere without someone judging me. I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap when he drove. We're country."

In late 2005, Britney confirmed rumours of a 2nd pregnancy during an interview with David Letterman. When TV presenter David said to her, "So, we've established now that you are in fact pregnant, is that right?", Britney replied, "Yes, sir." Britney then joked, "Don't worry Dave, it's not yours."

During Britney's 2nd pregnancy, her husband Kevin revealed her pregnancy cravings had moved away from dirt cravings to ice. "She's eating ice chips all the time," said Kevin.

2006 - 2009

When Britney was heavily pregnant for the 2nd time, she 'did a Demi Moore' and posed naked for the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

On 12 September 2006, Britney gave birth to her and Kevin's 2nd son, Jayden James Federline. Jayden was born by caesarean at the celeb favourite, the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.

Britney's marriage to Kevin lasted 2 years, with the couple divorcing in 2006. It was decided that Britney and Kevin would have joint custody of their sons.

However, Britney was admitted to a drug rehabilitation clinic following a very public breakdown, during which she shaved her head in front of the paparazzi. Britney's breakdown resulted in her losing custody of her 2 sons in 2007.

After a stint in a medical centre, Britney returned to good health and slowly regained more custody of her 2 sons.

Britney took her 2 young sons on her comeback tour in 2009. She said that despite previously saying, "If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I'd lock them up in their rooms until they were 30," she actually wouldn't mind so much.

Britney began dating her former agent, Jason Trawick, in 2009.

Talking about her sons, Britney revealed, "When I was younger, I wouldn't speak up as much. But now I'm a mum, things have changed."

2010 - 2016

In 2011, Britney and Jason announced their engagement. However, 2 years later in 2013, Britney ended the engagement.

As of January 2017, Britney is rumoured to be dating model Sam Asghari. They met when he appeared in her Slumber Party music video.

It also seems her 2 boys Sean and Jayden are all grown up, if this sweet Instagram is anything to go by!
