When did Claudia Winkleman get married?

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia and film producer Kris got married in the year 2000.

It's been reported they married in a private ceremony in Westminster, London, with just their closest family and friends in attendance.

The couple are famously quite private, so don't expect to see them flaunting their 17-year romance in the public eye (as of December 2017).

Though Claudia did open up to Red magazine, saying of her long-running marriage: "We don't have rules, we just look after each other, so whoever comes home first normally makes the dinner. It's just about being nice to each other."

Jake Thykier

On 17 March 2003, Claudia and Kris' 1st child, a baby boy named Jake, was born.

Matilda Thykier

On 5 June 2006, Claudia gave birth to a baby girl named Matilda.

Claudia confessed that after baby no 2 came along, she struggled to lose a single pound of her baby weight.

In an interview, she confessed to a solid 6 weeks in the gym in order to shake it off. She also added that she hasn't been back since. Lucky Claudia!

In 2013, 7-year-old Matilda became an actress and starred as a bridesmaid in the film I Give It A Year. Do we sense a showbiz career like mum? Only time will tell...

Claudia's 3rd pregnancy

In March 2011, Claudia revealed she was expecting for the 3rd time, with a pithy comment on Twitter.

"Thank you very much for your messages," she wrote. "It's true I'm having a baby. Although to be frank, on the scan it looked more like a goat."

Arthur Thykier

On 6 July 2011, Claudia and Kris welcomed their 3rd child and 2nd son, a baby boy named Arthur.

Matila's Halloween costume accident

In 2014, Claudia and Kris experienced every parents' nightmare, when then 8-year-old Matila was set ablaze after her Halloween costume caught fire.

The youngster was wearing a £5 witch costume, believed to be purchased from a supermarket. During a trick-or-treating sesh at a neighbour's house, Matilda's skirt brushed past a candle, and subsequently "went up" in flames.

"I was talking to somebody, and then I just heard her scream," Claudia said at the time. "She just screamed 'Mummy' and I turned round and that was that, she was just on fire.

"We couldn't put her out," the mum-of-3 told BBC's Watchdog. "Her tights had melted into her skin."

"She went up, is the only way I know how to describe it... like those horrific birthday candles that you blow out and then they come back."

Matilda suffered life-changing, but not life-defining, burns injuries, and had to have several operations.

Claudia said the incident changed her own life forever, and led her to campaign for strict fire safety regulations around children's Halloween costumes.

In 2017, 3 years later, Claudia admitted that she's no longer a fan of Halloween, and confessed that she wishes she'd been the one in the costume.
