David and Victoria Beckham plan an Olympic baby

The couple are reportedly ‘going for gold’ in 2012

Many people will be marking this Great British year with a souvenir sports top, or perhaps a commemorative plate, but in typically high-achieving style David and Victoria Beckham are planning to go one step further.

According to reports the A-list twosome want to celebrate this special summer by conceiving a baby during the Olympics. Sources close to the couple told Heat, “Both Victoria and David are very patriotic and would love it if she got pregnant while they are in London for the Olympics, especially as it is also the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year.”

Now would be a perfect time for the Beckhams to add to their burgeoning brood, as David’s exclusion from Team GB means he won’t be subject to the squad’s notorious sex ban for the duration of the Games. Another baby would also bring their family total up to seven, David’s lucky number, and they would have one child for every Olympic ring.

Speaking of his boys’ sporting prowess, the hunky footballer recently admitted there is a lot of pressure on them to bend it like Beckham, saying “They go for try-outs and people automatically think David Beckham’s son is going to bend the ball in the top corner at the age of six.”

All the more reason to keep at the bedroom training with Victoria – we reckon a baby conceived during the Games would have a sterling chance of inheriting some super sporting genes!
