We're delighted to announce that the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2023 are open for entry!
Our annual, consumer-facing Toy Awards, judged by children as well as grown-ups, celebrate the best toys at every age and stage, from newborn to preteens. And our winners get showcase editorial coverage – with click-to-buy links – timed for publication at the peak of Christmas-gift search traffic.

Q) How do I know which category to enter?
A) Have a look at the list of categories. There may be several categories that suit the toy you wish to enter. You may enter your toy in more than one category or, if you only want to enter one category, please pick the one that seems the most appropriate.

A) Yes, of course! We’re more than happy to discuss which category is right for your toy. Please feel free to email us at toyawards@madeformums.com
Q) How many categories can I enter in the MadeForMums Toy Awards?
A) You can enter as many categories as you like and you can enter the same product into more than 1 category. If you enter multiple toys, you will get your 3rd entry FREE and you will benefit from a 10% discount on your 6th entry, and a 20% discount on your 10th entry.
Q) How much does it cost to enter the awards?
A) The fee is £250 (plus VAT) per entry. If you enter multiple toys, you will get your 3rd entry FREE and you will benefit from a from a 10% discount on your 6th entry, and a 20% discount on your 10th entry.
Q) How do I pay for my entries?
A) All entries must be paid for online, using our secure online payment form. We accept Maestro, Mastercard, Switch, Visa, Delta, Connect, Visa Debit or Visa Electron only. We're afraid we cannot accept cheques. Please note that entries will not be considered until full payment has been made. We also cannot make refunds once entries have been submitted and paid for.
Q) When is the closing date for entries?
A) Entries close at midnight on Friday 7 July 2023.
Q) My toy's not on sale yet? Can I still enter it?
A) All toys entered into the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2023 must be available to purchase in the UK on or before 13 October 2023. You must also be able to supply 3 samples of your product for testing in early to mid August 2023. Your toy will not be considered for judging if requested samples are not sent.
Q) I’m having problems using the online entry form. Who should I contact?
A) Please contact the MadeForMums Toy Awards Team at toyawards@madeformums.com. We’d be happy to help.
Q) Will I be told if my toy is shortlisted?
A) Yes, you will receive all information once shortlisting has finished. In order for your toy to be considered for shortlisting, you will need to send 3 samples of your toy.
Q) Will I need to send samples in? And if so, will I get them back?
A) Yes, 3 samples of each toy entry will need to arrive in early to mid August 2023. We will supply you with the addresses to send your samples to. If requested samples are not sent in time, your toy will not be considered for judging. We cannot return any sample product. We reserve the right, after judging is complete, to allocate samples for additional testing by our regular reviewers or to offer them as competition prizes.
Q) How will the awards be judged?
A) Our team of baby and child judges (and their parents) will test all entered toys, together with the MadeForMums Editorial team and invited judges and toy-industry experts. The MadeForMums Toy Awards team will then use the testing feedback to draw up the list of shortlisted entries. Following that, the MadeForMums Toy Awards team will then pick the Award winners.
Q) What happens if I win?
A) If you are shortlisted or judged to be a winner in the MadeForMums Toy Awards 2023, you will be given exclusive rights to the relevant MadeForMums Toy Awards 2023 accredited logo, which can be used for a range of marketing and packaging activity for 1 calendar year. All winners will also be featured – with click-to-buy links – on madeformums.com, in showcase editorial content timed for publication at the beginning of the peak in Christmas-gift search traffic, and supported by social-media promotion. Q) When will I find out if I’ve won?
The exact date for announcing winners is TBC – but will be in early October 2023.
