Grandpa buys first grandchild the BIGGEST cuddly toy we've ever seen

As we all know only too well, grandparents, aunties and uncles and friends LOVE to bestow giant gifts upon our children right?

They are second only to NOISY ones. Although to be fair - in this scenario, little Maddie's mum DID say her little girl 'needed' one (obviously without ever thinking it would come to fruition, we imagine.)

So here's the story: Maddie's grandpa Daniel Gonzalez works at Costco (how many of you recognised it as a Costco bear straight away, eh?) and had shared a pic of him at work with the enormo teddies.

His daughter Sabrina (Maddie's mum) saw the pic and wrote some words under it that she probably lived to regret - that Maddie needed one.

“He posted a picture of him with the bear and I had commented underneath it joking that Maddie needed that, too,” Sabrina told ABC News.

So, like a good and doting grandpa, Daniel bought said bear and then posted this image online:

Yep, he really had bought Maddie the bear... and was attempting to get it home - well, to his HIS home, because Sabrina cannot fit it into hers.

"I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I was kidding,'" Sabrina said. (Can you IMAGINE what was going through her mind? Like WHERE was it going to live?)

"I didn’t think it was that big," she admitted. "My dad kind of over-dramatises things, but when I got there I was like, ‘Oh my God, this thing is bigger than the couch. I don’t how I’d fit this in my house.'"

Little Maddie however, was delighted with her new not-so-little playmate.

"She was shaking, lighting up, super happy,” Sabrina told ABC. "She was amazed at how big it was. I put him up to her face and she wanted to keep touching it."

The hilarious pics have proved to be a real hit online, with more than 45,000 shares.

“I was not expecting this to happen at all. People just went crazy over it,” Sabrina revealed.

And with Christmas and Maddie's 1st birthday still to come, the mum is now just a tad worried about how her little girl's besotted grandparents are going to top this gift...

“For her first, I’m kind of scared," she laughed. "Both him and my mom spoil her like crazy.

"They’re both pretty bad. It’s because it’s their first grand-baby, that’s why they’re going all crazy. You can’t blame them."
