There are certain rules that girls should live by. Being part of the sisterhood means you always give your spare tampon to someone in need, always tell a stranger when their clothes tag is hanging out and never (ever) date a friend’s ex-boyfriend. It’s just girl code.
So imagine this mum’s pride when her daughter used the girl code to answer a maths problem at school.
The problem began: “In high school, Frank, Mike, George and Ron each went out on a total of 4 dates with 4 different girls.
It continued: “For each of the 4 times, tell which girl dated which boy.”
But the 9 year old quickly realised the problem wasn’t who was dating who – it was that the girls shouldn’t have dated their friends’ exes in the first place.
Her brilliant answer was: “I can’t answer this probem because my mum says according to girl code you shouldn’t date a friend’s ex-boyfriend.”
Her mum was so proud, she shared a picture of the test on Facebook. “My daughter’s answer to a problem on her 4TH GRADE math problem last night.#girlcodetrumpscommoncore,” she commented.
So what do you think of her sassy answer? And what do you make of ‘girl code’? Let us know in the comments below…
