Tissues at the ready, folks: it's that time of year when John Lewis reveals its Christmas ad, and has us going a bit watery round the eyes.

This year's ad is definitely right up there on the weepiness scale, telling the touching, animated story of the bear who's never seen Christmas (because he has to hibernate).

And the accompanying soundtrack, featuring Lily Allen's emotional take on Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, ups the Kleenex Factor something rotten.

The advert will premiere on TV on Saturday night during The X Factor – but you can watch it in full here.
