MadeForMums Chat forum closure: FAQs
If you post or used to post on our MadeForMums forum, here are the answers to the most common questions about the forum closure
We’re very sad to announce that the MadeForMums Chat Forum will be closing on May 1st 2024.
If you have queries about the forum closure, please look through this FAQ, where we've answered the most common questions. If you can't see the answer to your question here, you can find our contact details below.
Why is the MadeForMums Chat forum closing?
Unfortunately, due to technical and cost issues, we are very sadly no longer able to support the forum on the MadeForMums website.
When is it happening?
It's not all happening at once. We are closing the forum in a series of stages:
- On April 17th 2024, the forum will close to new registrations
- On April 24th 2024, we will be closing the forum to new posts (but you'll still be able to read threads and copy any posts or pictures you’d like to keep).
- On May 1st 2024, the forum will close completely and you will no longer be able to access it from the MadeForMums home page or any bookmarks or thread urls you have saved.
What will happen to all my posts, pictures and private messages?
Once the forum has closed on May 1st 2024, the data in the forum will be deleted and no longer accessible.
Our back-up and archiving systems will capture a copy of this data in the forum on the date of closure but, due to the way this data is captured and stored, the MadeForMums team will not be able to access it, so it will not be possible for us to provide anyone with a copy of specific posts, pictures or PMs after May 1st. This data will be held in accordance with our privacy policy before being deleted permanently.
If you want to keep any of your posts, pictures and private messages, please make sure you copy them from the forum by April 30th 2024.
Will you still hold my registration details?
Your forum registration details will be deleted. However, you will retain your registration on the main MadeForMums site, so you can still take part in our competitions, receive the newsletters you have signed up to, and save your favourite articles.
I have another question: how can I reach you?
Please do drop us a line to contactus@madeforums.com and we promise to reply to you.
A huge thank you from us to you for being a part of our MadeForMums Chat community. We will miss you all.
