Sneak preview of Doctor Who plus JLS for Children in Need
From Strictly Come Dancing to EastEnders, the stars come out to raise money for children

Top names from the world’s favourite music, TV and theatre are doing their bit for charity by taking part in special shows, performances and acts for Children in Need tonight, hosted by Tess Daly, Sir Terry Wogan and Alesha Dixon.
An exclusive preview of the Christmas episode of Doctor Who will be screened, a special performance from the stars of Strictly Come Dancing plus performances by pop favourites JLS, Pixie Lott and newly reformed Spandau Ballet. The EastEnders team will also put on a musical show alongside actors from Hollyoaks and The Bill.
Children in Need has so far raised more than £525 million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK since the first appeal was held in 1980. Last year, celebs and the public rose a whopping £38 million and the organisers are hoping to beat this target tonight.
High street retailers have also rallied round to help raise money for the children’s charity. Boots has Pudsey the bear up for grabs, bag a funky dotty laptop cover, iPod and games console from Wrappz, or head to Build-A-Bear for a special edition Pudsey bear.
To listen to Peter Kay’s new Christmas single in aid of the charity, or to see a special Dragons Den show, tune into BBC at 7pm tonight, or visit the Children in Need website.
