The Baby Show is the perfect opportunity to find amazing deals on baby products that aren’t available in store or even online. You may be able to save serious £££ on buggies, cots, carriers, monitors, feeding equipment, pregnancy pillows and so much more.
So, how do you find the best deals and biggest discounts while you’re at The Baby Show?
1 First step – get money off your tickets! As headline sponsors of The Baby Show, MadeForMums can offer an exclusive discount of up to 45% off for the first 1,000 tickets for each of the three shows.
2 When you’re at your show, shop around. Don’t assume that your buggy or product of choice is only available on the brand’s stand. It might be available on a retailer stand too, such as Baby Planet, Mothercare and Peppermint stands.
3 Look at prices online before you attend. We know lots of parents who check their product of choice’s lowest price online, so they can make sure they’re getting the optimum deal from the brand or retailer at the show.
4 Ask about bundles – many stands may offer them. If you’re after a car seat and a buggy, why not try to make a saving by buying both from the same brand, and asking for a discount.
5 Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate! You can haggle without being rude, so don’t be afraid to ask: “What deals do you have?” and “What can you do for me on the price?”
6 Befriend the sales rep! They want to help, but mostly they want to make a sale. So, stick with the same sales rep during your time on the stand, and let them know you’re keen to buy today but need to discuss the price.
7 Don’t feel pressure to accept a deal on the spot. Ask about deals, then feel free to take some time to think about if you want to buy. You could also do this with multiple brands if you’re not set on one particular product, to see what the best overall deal is.
8 Buy a MadeForMums £5 goody bag when you purchase your ticket. Usually, our bags are worth at least £30 and sometimes up to £45, featuring useful baby items such as:
- MAM or Tommee Tippee bottles
- Miffy toy
- Bamboo baby wipes
- plus items for toddlers and older siblings
– plus a few things for toddlers and older siblings, too. You can buy on the day, but they often sell out, so best to buy with your ticket to avoid disappointment.
ALSO, make sure you visit the MadeForMums buggy-testing track
We’ve got 1000s of amazing reviews online, but we’ve taken helping you make confident choices to the next level with our buggy-testing track!
Every parent who walks into the exhibition centre will be able to try out a range of the most popular pushchairs on the market on different surfaces and features, without any pressure to buy. So you can really see what’s best for you for free on our track.
Give our kerb or grassy knoll a go with a luxury travel system, lightweight stroller or all-terrain pushchair – it’s your choice.
We don’t sell these buggies on the track, they’re just there for you to test. Hopefully, you can use what you’ve learnt about your dream buggy to help you negotiate on the brand stands too.
