Editors’ picks – what we’re loving in April

Check out the best things we've found this month

The Monster Factory’s Kids’ Play Tent, £59.99

This month Emma is desperately wishing she was mini and could fit into this awesome London Underground themed play tent.

“As I’m often found jostling for space on the Tube, the thought of having my very own carriage is a dream come true. Kids probably won’t make the same link but they’ll love playing ‘grown-ups’ in this quirky tent, especially with such a big London focus this year. Perfect indoors or out.”

Available from The Monster Factory.

Steiff Jubilee swans, from £38

With all the Jubilee paraphenalia around this month, Kim’s got her eye on these gorgeous commemorative swans.

“I want all three, but my faves are these two, Mother Duck and baby Pilla (Waggi, the dad swan is even bigger!). Stunning, soft and from the famous Steiff brand, they’re a classy piece of Jubilee memorabilia.”

Available from Steiff.

It’s Only Natural Moshi Monsters 100% Fruit ice-lollies, 99p each

Emma’s excited about these super refreshing Moshi Monster ice-lollies that come in a range of flavours and characters.

“Kids who love Moshi Monsters will love picking their favourite character and flavour to cool off with. But instead of E-numbers and too much sugar, they’re 100% fruit and will hopefully stop kids asking for expensive ice creams all summer.”

Available from Budgens, Londis & Wholefoods Market.

Mirrored Blucher mini-me shoes, £17.99

Ellen’s been trying to find a matching adult pair of these gorgeous shoesies.

“I’m a total magpie when it comes to baby fashion – attracted to anything shiny! So this month I’m loving these super-stylish (and super-cute) mirrored blucher pram shoes from Zara baby. Do you reckon they do them in a size 5?

In kids’ sizes 2.5 – 5
Available from Zara.

Faber-Castell paint set, £2.75 – £10

This month Cass will be channelling her inner artist with this cool painting collection from Faber-Castell.

“The Connector range caught my eye because it’s simple but so smart. The Paint Box – in either 12 or 24 colours plus a little tube of white paint – can have each colour ‘tablet’ snapped off and reconnected, so you can make shapes or just have your fave colours together.

Then there’s the funky Connector Clic&Go Water Pot, which can be popped up to be a full cup or squashed down again, making it ideal for when you want to bring the art kit away with you.

To complete the set, the Connector Clic&Go paint brushes have chunky sliding grips that make them easy to hold and act as a lid to protect the brushes while travelling or when they’re tossed into the art box.”
