Made from super breathable materials with a stretchy soft waistband, improved leg elastics and flaps, these nappies are a snug, comfortable fit. And, with a core designed to draw moisture away from your baby’s skin they aim to offer ultimate dryness, to help prevent any unwanted rashes.
One of the most important features of a nappy is obviously its absorbency. No one wants to be changing their baby’s clothes in the middle of town or dealing with leaks over coffee with friends. I’ve been caught out a few times and it’s not a pretty sight. So, anything that helps is much appreciated, which is why I gladly chose to try Huggies new Super-Dry nappies.
Available in sizes 3 to 6 (that covers babies and tots from 4kg to 30kg), these nappies could be your friend for quite some time. The RRP is £3.49 for a small pack (20 nappies, depending on size) and £6.49 for carry packs (36 nappies, depending on the size).
What we love
At first glance the new Super-Dry nappies look cute. You can’t beat an image of Winnie The Pooh and Tigger hugging or playing pat-a-cake. In fact, it was these pictures that encouraged my daughter Heidi to have her nappy changed on a number of occasions. The mere mention of Pooh (the bear), and Heidi gets very excited.
Trying them on, they appeared comfortable. The sticky bands are soft and stretchy, and seemed longer than on other nappies. They were also snug, maybe not as much as another leading brand, but they looked trim under a pair of tight leggings.
Now to the big claim – just how absorbent are they? Very, it would seem. Since using them we haven’t had any mishaps. The leg guards seem to fit perfectly around Heidi’s legs and the drylock absorbent core certainly kept moisture away from her bottom, and she had no nappy rash.
Overall, the new Super-Dry nappies from Huggies do a good job.
What to watch out for
Whilst the Super-Dry nappies certainly kept moisture away I did find that once they were quite full they did drag and become very heavy.
I didn’t think they were quite as soft as they could be, although my daughter seemed to have no qualms with them at all.
As with all the top nappy brands, Huggies Super-Dry are quite pricey, but maybe a small price to pay for no leaks and no irritation.
Who are Huggies Super-Dry nappies best for?
Parents who want great protection against leaks and wetness.
Huggies Super-Dry nappies use an innovative drylock system to successfully keep leaks at bay and your baby’s bottom dry. With cute Winnie The Pooh illustrations and a generous, comfortable waistband your child should love them. While they certainly prevent mishaps, they can drag and become quite heavy when nearly full.
