The Lindam Numi Safety Gate shows safety for your baby and style for your home can go hand in hand. However, it’s not a cheap option.
The Numi is one of the most recent additions to Lindam’s extensive safety gate range. Lindam says they’ve spent the last few years developing the Numi to have aesthetic appeal as well as having optimal safety features. And hats off to them, they did well.
The Numi safety gate has an attractive, modern look and it’s available in an aluminium or dark wood finish.
The safety mechanisms are not a second thought though, and believe me, no child without an Oxford degree could open it. It slides onto, and locks into, a low profile wall mount so that it can be removed in seconds when not required.
The Indexed Sizing System provides speedy width adjustment (from 620mm to 1015mm), and the Integrated Tuning System means you should have a millimetre perfection fit.
The Numi also won a Bronze in the ‘Safety gate’ category of the Practical Parenting & Pregnancy Awards 09/01.
What we love
Yes, the Lindam Numi safety gate looks good. And modern. And sleek.
It’s sturdy and robust with a double action opening so I’m pretty confident our girl won’t be busting through it any time soon. It’s also easy for me to open, even when holding our baby.
The Numi also has an anti-pinch hinge to protect your child.
Being able to remove the Numi from the wall mounts swiftly is great when you want to de-baby your house for evening visitors.
What to watch out for
It’s a bit of a trick to assemble. It does take some drilling of holes and screwing of screws, but the instruction manual is not as thick as some we’ve come across. And once it’s all fixed up you can remove the Lindam Numi stair gate easily enough.
The Lindam Numi stair gate isn’t cheap - at £60, style obviously comes at a price.
Who is the Lindam Numi safety gate best for?
Parents after style and functionality who are willing to paid for it.
MadeForMums verdict
The Numi Lindam stair gate is a handsome product that does what it says it will. The fact that it gained a Bronze Award in Practical Parenting & Pregnancy Awards 09/01 speaks volumes.
