Pros

  • very comortable for moving babies

Cons

  • expensive

I first discovered Pampers Active Fit when my oldest Georgia, (now 3 ½), was around 9 months old. She was an incredibly active baby and seemed to be so restricted by the younger baby nappies.

The Active Fit range by Pampers is aimed at your older baby around the time they are starting to move themselves about. They have ‘flexes to fit where your baby moves most’. They come in four sizes - size 3 is for babies weighing 4-9kg, size 4 is for 7-18kg, size 4+ is for 9-20kg and size 5 is for 11-25kg.

What we love

Moving on to Active Fit was a natural progression for me with Georgia and I still use them with my second child, Zac, 11 months. They are stretchy all the way around which is comfortable for the baby and really allows free movement. They also have very stretchy tabs to stick the nappy down and because of the extra stretchiness you can really get the nappy to fit your baby exactly.

The tabs themselves are also a huge plus in this range as they are incredibly strong even if you do have to readjust them once or twice. Zac is just starting to get to that point where he is aware of his nappy and on a hot day where he has little else on at home, he is tempted to grab them and attempt to get his nappy off. Thankfully he has been largely unsuccessful with Pampers Active Fit so far.

Even though the main aspect of this particular nappy is the stretchy comfort for your baby, you do not miss out on dryness. They have a blue extra absorbency layer in them, which ensures your baby stays as dry as possible. Even after a few hours, Zac’s nappy wasn’t weighed down with wee, he still appeared comfortable.

Zac suffers with very sensitive skin, but even after several hours in an Active Fit, he still only had a slightly clammy bottom and no signs of redness.

What to watch out for

Pampers Active Fit are at the higher end of the price range in nappies at £11.98 for 58.
