With the May half-term fast approaching, you might be planning days out to keep your kids entertained over the holidays.
Feeding a family on these day trips doesn’t have to cost you a small fortune though — there are plenty of family-friendly eateries offering deals for kids to eat free or very cheaply this summer.
With the help of hotukdeals, a community that shares deals and discounts, we’ve compiled a list of restaurants and cafés where you can feed your kids for free (or almost free) in London and the rest of the UK.
There are loads of options, from hotels for when you’re on the go, to supermarket cafés and chain restaurants you can find all over the country.
Make sure to check these deals are available in your area and during the same dates as your child’s half term holiday, as well as the exact times and days they are valid.
Where kids can eat free or for £1 this May half term
Casual dining restaurants
- Angus Steakhouse – Kids under 10 eat free from the children’s menu when an adult orders a main. Offer valid daily from 12pm to 5pm.
- ASK Italian – Kids eat for £1 with an adult purchase during the half term holiday.
- Banana Tree – One free kids’ meal per adult main meal. Available Sunday to Friday between the 25th and the 30th May at participating restaurants.
- Bella Italia – Kids eat free all day on Thursdays, and for £1 until 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday.
- Bill’s Restaurants – Two kids eat for free when one adult orders a main dish, from 26th to 30th May 2025.
- BrewDog – One free kids’ meal when purchasing an adult main. Must use booking type 'KIDS EAT FREE' and children must be under 13. Offer valid Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June in England & Wales, or Saturday 24th May to Monday 26th May in Scotland.
- Cinnamon Collection – Kids under 12 eat free from the children’s menu with an adult purchase from the à la carte menu at select locations (Cinnamon Bazaar Richmond, Cinnamon Bazaar Covent Garden, Cinnamon Kitchen Battersea, Cinnamon Kitchen City) from Saturday 5th April to Monday 27th
- Franco Manca – Kids 12 and under get a free kids pizza for every full-priced adult main. Available Monday to Thursday in selected restaurants.
- Gordon Ramsay Restaurants – one kid under 10 can eat free from the kids’ menu per adult ordering two courses from the à la carte menu. Offer runs all day, every day, but they advise calling ahead to check the offer is running at the location you’re visiting.
- Hinnies – Kids up to age 12 eat free with an adult main course purchase. Offer valid Tuesday to Friday until end of November 2025.
- Las Iguanas – Kids under 12 eat free through the My Las Iguanas App.
- Marco Pierre White – Kids eat free with an adult meal.
- Preto – Kids under 10 eat free with a full-paying adult. Available all day on weekends and from 4pm on weekdays. Requires a downloadable voucher.
