This is a really tasty recipe to introduce your baby to spinach. Mixing tiny pasta shapes into your baby’s food is a good way to add texture. Annabel Karmel’s range of organic pastas includes tiny gluten free stars and mini pasta shells, and suit this recipe well.

You’ll need:
25g (1oz) mini pasta shells
200g (7oz) fresh spinach, washed, or 100g (4oz) frozen
15g (½oz) butter
2tbsp milk
2tbsp cream cheese
4tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
Method:
1 Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. Meanwhile, cook the fresh spinach in a pan with just the water clinging to its leaves, or microwave on a low setting until tender. Gently press out the excess water. With frozen spinach, cook according to instructions.<br
2 Melt the butter in a small frying pan and briefly sauté the cooked spinach.
3 Mix the spinach with the milk and two types of cheese, then finely chop in a food processor.
4 Mix with the cooked pasta and serve.
