• White or wholemeal bagels
  • 400g Tinned tomatoes
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1tsp Dried oregano
  • Variety of toppings, such as mushrooms, onions, leftover cooked meat
  • 100g Mozzarella


  • STEP 1

    Turn on the grill to 180°C/gas 4. Slice the bagels in half, horizontally.

  • STEP 2

    Place them on a baking tray, cut side up, and place under the grill for 5 minutes.

  • STEP 3

    Blend the tomatoes with the oregano and a splash of olive oil.

  • STEP 4

    Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the toasted bagels.

  • STEP 5

    Top with cheese and your desired toppings. Grill for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.

  • STEP 6

    Sprinkle the top with a little salt (for toddlers and adults).
