Angelina Jolie believes normal schools don’t suit her children

Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie think their bohemian lifestyle is more educational than the traditional education system

Brad and Ange have decided home schooling is best

Angelina Jolie has revealed why she believes her six children are better off learning by travelling the world instead of taking standard classes in mainstream school.

The Oscar winning actress and husband Brad Pitt prefer to hire a team of tutors and nannies for their children, Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 2.

“I wish there was a book every parent could read that tells you how to navigate through the school system, and how to tailor the education system for your children and their interests. I’m personally getting involved with their different tutors and teachers. We have different teachers from different cultures in our house, who travel with us. Not only nannies but teachers,” said Angelina in an interview with The Independent.

“Pax speaks Vietnamese and there’s one who speaks to him in Vietnamese every day, and there are people with an African background. To us it’s all about building a team around us where we can all be enhanced culturally and they can help with a flowing curriculum legally,” added Angelina.

“I do think we live in a different age and the education system hasn’t caught up with our children and our way of life. But we travel and I’m the first person to say, ‘Get the school work done quickly because let’s go out and explore.’ Instead of tomfoolery in the classroom, I’d rather them go to a museum, learn to play guitar and read a book they love.”

I am a teacher and if I had money I would love to do something similar. My school has lots of children with special needs, behaviour problems and the children have low attainment due to lack of parental involvement. This measn I don't have time to educate all the children as I would like About 1 years ago
