Colin Farrell – “I chose boozing over my son”
Actor reveals how his battle with alcohol once affected his relationship with son James
Dad of two Colin Farrell has admitted that during his battle with the booze, he was more interested in necking bottles of beer than spending time with his son.
Notorious party boy Colin told Jonathan Ross in a TV interview, that his son James, now 6, whose mum is his ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, came second to alcohol. “There were times when I was with my son and I was wondering how long I would have to spend with him before I could go off and get pissed,” he revealed.
The 33-year-old is now teetotal and has become a dad again, this time with a 4-month-old son Henry with his partner Alicja Bachleda. “Now – two hours in the pub, then I get bored. I was at that party for long enough.”
