Former Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Curtis Elton, passes prestigious grade 8 piano exam after just four years of lessons
Child protégé Curtis Elton, 8, is thought to be the youngest person in the UK to pass the Associated Board’s grade 8 piano exam.
The little pianist is so impressive he received a standing ovation from the Britain’s Got Talent judges, when he auditioned on the hit TV show earlier this year. Judge Louis Walsh told Curtis that was “amazing” and was “really going somewhere” after his performance. However, Curtis didn’t get through to the next round.
Curtis has been playing since he was 4, when he broke his first record, becoming the youngest person in the country to pass his grade 1. He will be joining his tutur, mum Hayley, a professional concert pianist, to play a tour of nurseries and schools in January.
Despite his incredible talent, Curtis doesn’t want to play piano professionally and instead wants to be a doctor. Let’s hope he’ll be as good with patients as he is with the keyboard.
