Celebrity Big Brother star miscarries at nine weeks
Glamour model and reality TV star Nicola McLean has sadly suffered a miscarriage with her third baby.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity star revealed how the doctor could no longer find a heartbeat at her 12-week scan.
‘There was no heartbeat. The doctor told me that the baby’s heart probably stopped at nine weeks,’ said Nicola.
She feared that drinking alcohol and taking antidepressants before she found out she was expecting could have caused her to miscarry. However, Nicola’s doctor reassured her the miscarriage was beyond her control, due to a chromosomal abnormality.
Nicola, 30, who announced her pregnancy just a month ago, has said she is ‘absolutely gutted’ by the loss of her baby in the first trimester.
