When it comes to the crunch and you're giving birth, what do you want your partner to be doing? Rubbing your back? Playing music from your birthing playlist? Getting the hell out of your sight?!

Well, how about taking a selfie? Erm, maybe not…

But luckily for him, this selfie-snapping man's wife was a little more tolerant.

"My wife wanted to make sure that someone took a picture of the expression on our faces when our daughter was born today. So I took one," he commented, sharing the photo on Imgur.

The selfie quickly went viral with lots of people commenting on how brave he was. "This is awesome, but you might be dead when she regains full mental capacity and finds this," one user commented.

"Full mental capacity? That never happens after having kids," another added.

One user said: "Today your family gained one life, and lost another."

"I would have ripped my husband's face off if he did this. No lie. And I like to think I'm pretty chill, generally speaking," another wrote.

This kind of labour ward behaviour reminds us of when Robbie Williams thought it would be HILARIOUS to joke his way through his wife Ayda's labour. Luckily she was in on the joke, but we're not sure we'd put up with him!

So what do you think of the selfie? Would you let your partner take one? Let us know in the comments below.
