Is Janet Jackson pregnant at almost 50?
Word on the street is that the singer is expecting her first child just shy of her half-century
So IS it true? Is Janet Jackson really pregnant with her first baby, just 2 weeks away from her 50th birthday?
Well the star has not confirmed it herself yet, but that hasn't stopped the world's media reporting the baby news as fact - and given Janet's recent message to her fans about starting a family, it is highly likely that it could be true.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Janet posted a video to YouTube announcing that she was temporarily calling off her Unbreakable world tour because she was planning to start a family.
In a very calm and serene video, a bespectacled Janet explained the postponement of her gigs, telling fans: "There has been a sudden change.
"I thought it important you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I have to delay the tour.

"Please, if you can, try and understand that it is important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctors orders."
Janet and her husband, business magnate Wissam Al Mana, wed in secret in 2012. It is Janet's third marriage - she was previously betrothed to soul singer James DeBarge for just a year between 1984 and 1985, and René Elizondo, who she married in 1991, and divorced in 2000.
She has spoken before of her longing to have her own family, and said back in 2008 when with her then boyfriend Jermaine Dupri that she might even adopt, telling entertainment website ET Online: 'I would love to have children of our own, but we also would love to adopt. So, we'll see what happens. It'll happen someday."
And it would seem that 'someday' has now come! A baby at 50 though? Good luck with all those sleepless night, Jan!
