A photo of a newborn baby girl has gone viral – and if you’re anything like us, the reason why will bring a tear to your eye ?

The image, taken and shared by Kim Stone Photography on Facebook, shows a young baby, wrapped in a pink blanket, being held by a pair of motorcycling gloves.

The gloves belonged to baby Aubrey’s dad, Hector – a keen motorcyclist who always wore protective clothing.

On Facebook, Kim wrote:

“Her Daddy loved his motorcycle. He always wore protective gear. He wanted to make sure he was safe.

“He couldn't take any chances with a new baby girl on the way. But he will never hold his baby girl.”

Tragically, Hector died just a month before she was born.

The photoshoot was arranged by Aubrey’s mum, Kathryn, as a way for her young daughter to have a connection to her father and the hobby he loved.

“His life was taken just a month before she was born by someone he considered a friend,” the Facebook post continued.

“They say that angels are talking to babies when they smile in their sleep. I guess maybe that's true. ‪#‎babyaubrey‬ ‪#‎daddyshands‬”

The emotional post has unsurprisingly been shared more than 71,000 times (and counting) and seen over 11 million times.

And we're sure that little Aubrey will cherish these gorgeous photos for the rest of her life ?

Aubrey’s family has set up a GoFundMe page. If you’d like to donate, head here.
