  • How is your baby growing?

She’s ready to meet the world but exactly when she’ll arrive is up to her – only about 5% of babies actually appear on their due date.

While she’s been making breathing movements, it’s not until she takes her first breathes of air that her heart and circulation will be completely mature. Because her bowels are full of meconium, she’ll pass this as a sticky, greenish-black poo after birth. Thank heavens for nappies!

If there’s no sign of your baby by the end of this week, you’ll be advised to have an induction to start labour.
