Baby rice

Gentle tasting, baby rice is a great first food when you start weaning and useful for thickening purees

  • 1 level tbsp baby rice
  • 3 tbsp baby’s usual milk, warmed or cold


  • Step 1

    Add 1 level tablespoon of baby rice to a clean bowl.

  • Step 2

    Mix in 3 tablespoons of your baby’s usual milk. The milk can be cold, if your baby is used to drinking cold milk, or pre-warmed.

  • Step 3

    Stir in until you have a smooth consistency.

  • Step 4

    Make sure you serve within 30 minutes of preparing.

  • If the rice mix is too thin, add a little more rice. If too thick, add a little more milk.
